Personal development, mental evolution, and self help, these are the goals in mind and it is all in the mind, isn’t it? We engage in lots of bad habits that don’t help us. We mediate the outcomes we want in life with the tools we have in our minds and hearts and the framework we set up inside is the story we tell ourselves. It might be story telling but using a non-linguistic process to unravel our story is the interesting and unique process here. Stephen makes it understandable and relatable. I wanted to express my first impressions because I’ve taken a little time to soak up what he’s selling here. He’s helping us create a simple sequence to tap into our own imagination and it’s done thru drawing–bad drawing! He doesn’t take the drawing quality seriously and you shouldn’t either. It’s expression that’s not for anyone else’s eyes. It’s for you and it’s only a session of talking to yourself, but in drawings. It’s like Bob Ross meets Dr. Phil. “Let’s turn this into a happy bunny, right… there. Now how does that make you feel self?” Story telling is very important. We tell ourselves a story to explain what’s going on in our own lives and this seems to be a central part of the process of Stephen’s system of personal transformation. “The only thing that is keeping you from getting what you want is the story you keep telling yourself.” –Tony Robbins We have two minds in a sense, we have the cognitive mind which loves patterns and uses logical steps to navigate in the world. The cognitive mind uses language. This mind is highly rational and not intuitive. And then we have the intuitive mind. This mind uses the five senses and it’s the part of our mind–our intelligence system–that doesn’t use language and it’s where dreams come from. Anxiety, anger, fear and other emotional outcomes are sourced from this part of mind. Addictions come from here when taken to an extreme. We cope with pain through obsessive patterns. In life, we engage our internal and external relationships with the world in ways that can be executed much better. Sometimes we just need a little help, a little self help. How do we do this? How do we resolve and heal our own self? What are the patterns that help? Which ones don’t? Can I be my own productive armchair therapist? 10 minutes a day can do it. Invest this much time into your own psyche, and with Stephen’s guidance, you can do it. You can fix your patterns. Do these things for 30 days and you will see an improvement in yourself, how productive you can be in your relationships with self and with others. Take his process to heart and do it for 30 days and you’ll see the changes, clearly.
